Our club has taken the lead by introducing this Ewaste project at the District level 2 years back, spear headed by our PP Surender Gupta. This year we partnered with Adar Poonawala as well as Swach for environment friendly disposal reuse of the ewaste.

Not only did we have monthly drives carried out by our club, we also spread this to other clubs like Airport. We also introduced this to our Interact club who carried out various drives in their school. We managed the overall relationship with the Swach and Adar Poonawala for these other clubs.

We have collected about 20 tons of waste for recycling. Based on our club member, Surender Gupta\'s enthusiasm and contribution, we has been selected as a member of ESRAG- South Asia.

This is an environment related project - its a novel idea wherein the one time use sanitary napkins are replaced with reusable ones.

The reusable napkins can be used over and over again for 2-3 years. Our target audience for this project was rural population as we felt that they (as opposed to urban population) are more likely to adopt these to save money.

This is a inter-district project wherein we also partnered with RC of Greater Ahmedabad. We distributed 2000 sanitary napkins across various locations in and around Pune and in Ahmedabad too. Each distribution was preceded with a lecture on women hygiene and guidance on use of these napkins.

The benefits were explained in detail to increase its acceptance. Being a new concept, this was felt necessary. This project was carried out with the guidance and involvement of the District Environment team.
