Kids install the app on their parent's mobile phone and can study better for their upcoming 10th standard exam in academic year 2025-26.

The Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment is proud to announce the successful donation of a NIMka MathLab to Lady Hawabai School in Pune! This initiative was made possible through a collaboration with NIMka MathLab, developed by Prince and Sherley Paul.

To ensure the new resources are used effectively, Sherley Paul also conducted a comprehensive training session for all the school's math teachers. This training empowers educators to bring a new level of engaging and interactive learning to their students.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success! We're thrilled to support the academic growth of the students at Lady Hawabai School.

The speaker, RCP Downtown IPP PNN Iyer is a widely respected Economist who has worked for MNCs globally. He now works as a corporate consultant, mentor and coach. He is also a musician and a prolific speaker of 8 languages on diverse subjects.

On 23rd July, the audience was in for a treat with his hilarious take on Indians.... WOW INDIANS.

The event started at 7:00PM with fellowship followed by the speaker session. The fun continues with a MINI fellowship post session.
The event was co-hosted by Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment with Rotary Club of Pune Far East & Rotary Club of NIBM

Installation Ceremony of the president Rtn Dr. Hema Vivek Pande and Board of Directors for Rotary Year 2025-26 is scheduled on Sunday, the 13th July, 2025 at Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan, Fatima nagar, Wanowrie, Pune. District Governor Rtn Santosh Marathe will be the Chief Guest for the event. Invitations are out and count down begins.

Type 1 Diabetes Screening and Awareness Project was successfully conducted at Nandadeep School, located at Parvati Payatha, Pune. This vital initiative aims to promote early detection and enhance awareness about Type 1 Diabetes among school children.

As part of the event, over 550 students will undergo a screening process to help identify early signs of Type 1 Diabetes. In addition, a comprehensive awareness session will be conducted to educate students, teachers, and parents on recognizing symptoms, managing the condition, and understanding the importance of early intervention.

Objectives:
1. Early detection of Type 1 Diabetes among children.
2. Educating young minds on diabetes symptoms and management.
3. Raising awareness in the school and local community about the importance of regular screening and timely medical intervention.

This event is an important step toward building a healthier future for our children. Together, let's take action to prevent complications and empower our community with knowledge.

With CSR support from Evolent Health International, ₹1.6L was pledged under the Green Earth project.

Under the dedicated leadership of Centre Captains PP Saira and Rtn Gayatri, we successfully brought 729 smiles to children in Wai today. Saira’s enthusiasm knew no bounds—even her brother, Ali, couldn’t escape her determination to get everyone involved! 😉

With this, our total count of smiles of happiness has now reached 4,240!

Team Effort & Unwavering Dedication
PE Dr. Hema and PP Sameer have already found a strong deputy in Rtn Pradyut, one of the newest members of the RCPC family. His unwavering presence across distribution stations, ensuring everything ran smoothly, was truly commendable. Ann Leena was equally eager to lend a helping hand, adding to the spirit of the day.

Our Rotarians and Anns have now made diligence and thoroughness a habit, tackling every distribution day with commitment and energy. Inspired by our efforts, the Rotarians from RCP Gandhi Bhawan followed suit, with Club President Rtn Meenal leading a 15+ member team to contribute tirelessly—transforming the distribution day into an absolute Fun-Day!

The in-house lunch after a hard day’s work was nothing short of delicious! And while some may have missed it, the Mapro pit-stop on the way back definitely deserves a mention—for reasons that need no explanation! 😜

The Centre Captains PP Rajesh & PN Rajeshree were all set to make a mince in express time, to make the 680 happy children smile no end. PE Hema has taken to making the cuties smile "in her own ishtyle".

All the RCPCians (Anns included), along with the able support from Rotarians & the energetic Anns of RC Bhigwan, though thoroughly dusted, made sure the children return home in good time.

HV Desai Eye Hospital Team has made sure all through that every child has their eye check done and is fully supported for any eye correction if needed.

Another day of Distribution successfully completed at Kanhewadi, Tal. Khed with 743 smiling children returning home happy and overjoyed.

Center Captains Pres. Nom. Desi. Huzefa and our Enviro-Genius PP Surender under the stewardship of our Project Chairman PP Sameer and the wholehearted support of President Tawhid and a whole lot of members, new & old alike and the ever so enthused bunch of Anns, made sure everything rolled out smoothly, while esteemed members from RC North & Nigadi too extended their helping hands tirelessly, with their respective Presidents Rtn Shanti Shridhar & Rtn Suhas Dhamale leading from the front.

We completed another successful distribution at Gohe Bk with the Centre Captain Gitanjali leading from the front.

698 cute children benefitted from this distribution and also had their eyes screened.

The Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment and the Rotary Club of Pune Sarasbaug, in collaboration with the SCAW-Canada team, successfully executed a charitable initiative to support underprivileged children. 700 sleeping kits were distributed to children in Yavat, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

In addition to the kit distribution, our club organized a School Eye Check-up and Screening Camp in partnership with H.V. Desai Eye Hospital. The camp provided essential eye care services to students, with the following outcomes:

Total students screened: 645
Students requiring refraction tests: 5
Students provided with spectacles: 3
Students needing spectacles: 1
Referred to the base hospital for cyclo-refraction: 3
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of children in our community.

What an unforgettable evening we had at our Dandiya Night! 🎉 The vibrant energy of Navratri filled the air as everyone celebrated in colorful traditional attire.

A huge shoutout to our talented winners, Shruti and Hema, whose incredible dancing truly lit up the night! 🏆 Rtn. Neeta Wani and Anna Sagar Wani wowed us all with their energetic performance, while Ann Vaishali added a delightful traditional tadka to the event.

It was heartwarming to see Rtn. Gayatri enjoys special moments with her daughter Aanchal, creating lasting memories together.

A special thank you to President Tawhid and all the dignitaries from the Rotary Club Kharadi, President Dhanya Narayanan, and Payal Mukherjee for their support and presence, which made this celebration even more memorable.

Today, on 6th October 2024, Rotary Club Of Pune Cantonment joined hands with Green Sunrise Hills, an NGO focused on reforestation of barren hills.
Our club donated bamboo seeds and planted the same on Wagholi Hill. The event was attended by Pankaj Apte, Billi, Surendra Gupta, and Vivek Pande

In the coming months, the volunteers will plant all the seeds and care for them.

Identification of the vendors, verification of their needs, distribution of the Umbrellas and educating them was spearheaded by the president Tawhid Contractor,secretary Hema Pande, Past President Moiz Chakkiwala and Vivek Pande.

Project DHAAGA Project DHAAGA
On September 19, 2023, Project DHAAGA is being completed, focusing on Community Economic Development. The initiative involves the distribution of four sewing machines to the Pathways Foundation, an NGO dedicated to empowering individuals through skill development. With a project cost of Rs. 10,000, this effort is set to benefit around 50 individuals, providing them with valuable skills for economic independence. This project exemplifies Rotary’s commitment to supporting community upliftment and enhancing livelihoods through vocational training.

On July 31, 2023, a flood relief distribution initiative was completed in Ramgaon Rameshwar village, Yavatmal, in collaboration with Rotary Club West. The project, focusing on Community Economic Development, had a total cost of Rs 1,68,000 and benefited 100 individuals. Led by Rtn. Rajeshree Kakde and Ann Abhay Kakde, the event aimed to support the local community in their recovery efforts. This initiative exemplifies the Rotary commitment to community service and economic upliftment. Thanks to all Generous Donors.

On July 12, 2023, the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment held the installation ceremony for the new board for 2023-2024. Rtn. Mazahir Nazir was officially inducted as the new president, taking the pledge to lead the club. The event featured esteemed chief guest Rtn. PDG Deepak Shikarpur inspired attendees with his words. Immediate Past President Moiz Chakkiwala ceremoniously handed over responsibilities to President Mazahir and his newly elected Board of Directors. The ceremony occurred at Poona Club Hall 1 at 7 PM, marking a significant transition for the club. Members gathered to celebrate this important occasion and foster community spirit.
