History of Pune Cantonment Club

The Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment boasts a rich history that began in 1989, thanks to the support of its sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Pune Central. The club was chartered with 30 members, with Rtn. Mahesh Ajwani serving as its first president.

Over the past 35 years, the club has enjoyed remarkable continuity, with six of its charter members still actively involved. Notably, Rtn. Bhola Gupta stands out as the most senior Past President and an Honorary member.

In its early days, the club held its weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 7 PM at the Ladies Club. It also began publishing its weekly bulletin, "Chhavni," right from the start.

Throughout its history, the Pune Cantonment Club has maintained a vibrant and active presence, demonstrating its enduring commitment to community service and fellowship.
